Demon Pond

A blend of horror, fantasy, and romance based on the 1913 Kabuki play of the same name.
When a lone traveler stumbles upon a remote, drought-stricken village, he finds himself engulfed in a whirlpool of myth, mystery, and magic: in a nearby pond reside spirits who hold the fate of the towns inhabitants, including lovers Akira and Yuri, in their hands.
Fun fact! This film stars legendary kabuki actor Tamasaburo Bando V as Princess Shirayuki.
