The Yellow Triangle House

The Yellow Triangle House, located in Aichi prefecture, was once considered the most terrifying location in the Chubu region due to its eerie appearance. The house is supposedly cursed and is rumored to have inspired the original Grudge movie.
History
Before the house was built, the plot of land was once home to a vegetable stand and, prior to that, a cemetery.
It wasn't until the 1980s that a young couple purchased the land and built the iconic house.
Rumors claim that the house was halted twice during construction for unknown reasons and that the original couple that owned the house died under unusual circumstances.
The story behind the couple's death varies greatly, but the most common story is that the husband became addicted to gambling and fell into debt, causing an unhappy marriage and rising tensions between him and his wife.
Eventually, the wife snapped and killed her husband before killing herself.
Other stories speculate it may have been a double suicide or one party accidentally killing the other in a fight before taking their own life.
After the death of the first owners, the house quickly cycled through various owners.
The new owners only stayed less than a year before moving out, some of whom listed 'ghost sightings' as the reason why.
Whether everyone who stayed at the house saw ghosts is unknown, but many of the former residents fell on hard times and had bouts of misfortune while living there.

The Haunting
The house was reported to have various spirits residing in it, presumably from the cemetery that the plot of land was built on. The most notable of the spirits being that of a young girl who would stand on the balcony.
At a certain point, infamous psychic Gibo Aiko visited the site with a TV crew.
Aiko was a big deal in the 70s~90s, frequently appearing on TV shows and even having her own specials.
Upon arriving at the house, Aiko refused to go inside, even though the TV crew tried to persuade her.
Ultimately, she could not be convinced to go inside, causing the TV station to have to scrap the segment.

Architecture / Inside the House
It would be negligent for me not to briefly touch on the topic of feng shui.
Feng shui is a pretty big deal in many parts of Southeast Asia, including Japan.
The yellow triangle house is well noted to have bad feng shui.
Everything from the color, location, layout, and general shape is considered to be both odd and just bad overall.
It should also be noted this house is famous for a blood-stained mattress that could be seen in the upstairs left bedroom.
What Remains
As of 2015, the house has been knocked down. Where it stands now exists a parking lot.
